If a work with materials that is same as a painting on canvas but it uses a thread instead of cloth call one-dimensional painting, something like a question arises.
That question is the starting point for creating a work.
When I actually make it, more questions appear.
I am making a work as a process of searching for such questions and their answers over a lifetime.

キャンバスに描いた絵と同じ素材でありながら、布の代わりに糸を使った作品を、例えば一次元絵画と呼んでみると、いくつかの疑問がおもいつきます。
或る疑問のような何かが作品制作の起点になり、実際制作してみると次の疑問が立ち表れる。
そういった疑問とその答えを、一生をかけて探していく過程として制作しています。
